This project began in 1986. Apparently it's now under threat of being dismantled. Ironically, developers did not sink their claws in until a successful urban agriculture venture drew attention to the area. Other similar stories crop up everywhere. (See Fierce Light.) Money-driven economies hate this kind of self-sufficiency. So find something free and share it as long as it lasts.
